(OT)Memory
If I have a system with pc100 sd ram can I add pc133 sd ram without problems, I know that if the system works with 100 the 133 should slow to 100 but will it make the system crash????/

Re: (OT)Memory
you will have to check your mobo documentation to see if the mobo will accept the the two different speeds. Usually the answer will be no. As most times the memory has to be paired

Re: (OT)Memory
I'd give it a shot. Just be sure you can take the memory back.
I've got a few systems with 100 Mhz memory that have 133 RAM in them with nothing worse than an occasional message in POST (stupid Gateway system...).

Re: (OT)Memory
128 Mb SDRAM PC133 RAM - $9.99
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati....asp?CatId=827
At that price, you should be able to buy 2 and be confident of a matched pair. However, I've never had any problems with mis-matched speed for RAM (as long as I use the minimum). Only have had problems with type of RAM ie. ECC, etc....

Re: (OT)Memory
You shouldn't have a problem, I would take out the 100mhz memory, just in case. What OS are you using? If it is 98 ver's then going over 512 mb wont help and might give you glitches (I can't remember exactly why, something about 8/16 bit processing I think). I don't remember hearing any issue with ME and memory. with Win 2K and Xp the skies the limit (err the MotherBoard is )
