Re: PBW server is back up.
Currently seiv.pbw.cc is resolved to a temporary page that a guy set up for me. All it has on it is a page redirecting players to the temporary PBW site at http://home.covad.net/~geoschmo
The Last few days the redirect page has been intermitant. All I can assume is he's haveing some technical issues with his site. If you can't get to it you should be able to connect directly to the temp site though. The URL isn't as easily remembered though. [ November 06, 2003, 19:09: Message edited by: geoschmo ]

Re: PBW server is back up.
Actually there are several options for highspeed service in my area. Unfotunatly the one I have is the only one that I could find that had the combinatiion of features I needed for PBW, good upload speed, fixed IP, permission to run a web server 24x7, a low enough monthly cost to make it possible to support via voluntary donations. If all I wanted was highspeed access for my own personal use I could take my pick of several decent choices in the area.

Re: PBW server is back up.

What I learned is if you are moving your DSL, get a new phone number at the new location. I thought I was doing the right thing keeping the old number. It turns out if I had gotten a new number they could have turned on the one without turning off the other and the down time would have been shorter. Unfotunatly by the time I asked the right questions It was too late to do that because I had to have the server out of the old place anyway by a certain date.Quote:

Well, the provider has already missed his "unofficial" installation estimate of a week or so. Now, unless they get their *** in gear, they will miss their "official" estimate of 2 - 4 weeks for the install.Quote:

Thanks for the offer, but will do only temp takeover, to allow a player to get some holiday without screwing his game. So if someone need it in your game, you have the offer. But let me guess : was it another doomed religious race ?Quote:

 | Anyway, another game and adamant9 finished to convince me that religious is indeed an over powerful trait.

 Blood!
 Demand blood!

Really, it's just nice to have around, for those little need-blood-now emergencies. Keep it right next to the spare pants and the prophylactics.
