Re: OT: How old are you ?
Bump.
Im sure alot has happened since the Last time this thread was updated, we have alot of new members, some old ones have moved on, and other old timers have returned. To help get things up to date, I will post a couple (as in two) random tidbits:
First, and least importantly, I'm Luke Miller, a beligerant 25 year old who's been gaming in one form or another since he could crawl. I think this is my fourth year or so at this game, although it probably seems like longer to those of you whom have to put up with me. Although I am an imperialist dog, I am also far more well meaning than I sound. Take my comments with plenty of salt, and moderate me down so other people dont mistakenly take me seriously.
Secondly, belated congratulations to E3 on the new addition to his family, and welcome to the newest future-space-empires-player.

Re: OT: How old are you ?
Aha! I thought I'd find you here, Puke. I started reading this thread from the beginning, and after about 7 or 8 pages my eyes started to roll up in my head, so I figured I'd better come to this end.
Anyway, I'm 51 and feeling right at home here with the rest of the semi-old-farts. Not official until we're 60 someone said. Dropped out of college in 1973 and did a little bit of everything until I went back at age 44. So now I have a computer science degree with a math minor, a secondary education teaching certificate; and because of my misspent youth, about twenty miscellaneous engineering credits. No job, mind you. Due to the state of the economy I work as an occasional substitute teacher, occasional bartender, and sometime software developer. I'm single, been married twice, and have kids older than some of you....Think I'm going to go buy some of whatever Gryphin's been eating for dinner lately.
Was also wondering if mac5732's avatar is an actual picture of him.

Re: OT: How old are you ?
*Frowns* Should I post on this thread right after Cipher? I mean, it will be quite the opposite, and... erh... well.
So as you can tell from my location, I happen to live in France (I swear I am not guilty) and I am currently 17. Yes, there are no typos here, it is indeed seventeen. I gather it means I am *somewhat* young.
Given my age I am still at school, Last year at high school actually, before going to college. (With English as a major, not too surprisingly) Current interests include, but are not limited to, attempting to rule over the galaxy (the first step being to overthrow Fyron, to no avail as for now), reading, playing a few IFs here and there, and a few CRPGs, or alternatively trying to find a proper English Version of the aforementioned CRPGs.
As I cannot think of something else to add, I believe I will stop this little, prone to be boring, description now.

Re: OT: How old are you ?
Cipher 7071, alas, the photo has a little more hair (not by much) and mine is not all that white yet (shaved the stach tho, it kept tickling)
I'm 56.7 yrs....
PS. be careful of what you try from "The Gryphin", you could end up in "The Gryphin Position or Circle the Wagons" then you'd be to tired to do anything LOL

Re: OT: How old are you ?
I am 32 and have been married to the same wonderful lady for ten years. We have three kids and we are DONE! Not that I don’t love kids, but three was my limits. My Last name is Smoker, yes Smoker. Some of you will ask what kind of name is that. It is German, my grandfather (Father’s side) left when Hitler started spouting his crap about Aryans are a master race. Not wanting to get tagged with that little title he decided to move to the USA and settle in PA.
As for me I joined the Army a head strong and ignorant kid of 18 and went straight off into the first Iraq War. After that I was stationed in Pirmasens, Germany and from there went to Italy, France, Turkey, and Luxemburg on short training deployments. I also spent a year in Korea, and have traveled across the USA. Who says you can’t travel in the military.
Now I am a stay at home dad who has decided to improve himself by going to collage. I hope to finish soon but since my wife is heading out to Iraq I may have to put those plans on the back burner to take care of the kids.
I am still ignorant (thanks Socrates) but the future is bright. I have seen some wonderful and heart breaking things in my short time on this little world of ours. The Berlin Wall coming down, Death enough for a dozen including the passing of three friends, introduction of CD’s, the home computer, etc. Overall I am happy and blessed.

Don't worry, President Elect Shang. "A wise man knows the extent of his own ignorance."

Re: OT: How old are you ?
Cipher,
Most likely I am eating a pizza I stole from mac. The guy in mac's avatar is way to good looking, (compared to mac).
I'm 49 (as stated elwhere). Currently don't play SEIV (though I own gold) because it is too complex for me.
Enjoy

Re: OT: How old are you ?
Ok lets see here, you’re lady, I assume that was her in the one picture forgive me if I am wrong, is looking right into the camera, but YOU have to look to the side. Does this mean that we are not good enough to look at you full on? I feel so hurt, just slap me again why don’t you.

Re: OT: How old are you ?
The Great Gryphin Gryns at Shang,
You would look me in the eye? What is this death wish you have? Even the Medusa does not look me in the eye. (ROTFLMAO)
Interesting you should point that out. Would you believe the truth is
1) The other side of my face was severly burned.
2) I'm so handsome noone can stand to look me in the face. I actualy have to wear a mask when I go out.
3) Having my neck twisted that way shows the muscles and since we are trying to atract a second woman to live with us something macho seemed best
or
4) That just seems to be the best pic of me.
If you go back to the site there is a new pic of her in a red coat.
You did see this one?

Enjoy and if you are ever in town I could use some help.
