Ressource Converter Question
I've built a ressource converter on one of my smaller planets. When I tried to convert ressources using the appropriate menu, nothing changed in my resource statistics.
Who knows how to use this?

Re: Ressource Converter Question
Heres how to do it.
On your menu, there is a little icon (like a coal cart maybe?)
Click on it, and in the new window, you have a couple of choices:
Which resource to convert
And which resource to convert to
Click on the one you want to convert to, then in the leftmost column click on the resource you want to convert from. Repeat if desired, click okay when done.

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

Re: Ressource Converter Question
I did that but how do you know that it's working? I could not see any change in my ressource stats.

Re: Ressource Converter Question
In the middle part of the window, it should list the conVersions you want to do.
Watch your number of resources in the top bar (crystal icon is mineral etc)
If you have a low technology converter then it will lose a good deal of resources.
(BTW Resource converters have saved my life a few times!)

Re: Ressource Converter Question
uhh, what exactly do you guys mean by "the appropriate menu" ?
I researched those before, but never saw any need to use them.

Re: Ressource Converter Question
The appropiate menu would be the orders menu, I guess. If you build a converter, go to the planet where you put it and the aforementioned "coal cart" button will be visible next to the activate AI minister button.
I too love converters. In my current game, I've had a minerals deficit of -40,000 per turn for the past 5 years or so. Fortunately, I have an organics/radioactives surplus of about 80,000 each. Whenever my minerals supply dips below half a million I convert a bunch of the other stuff to it. Without that one converter, there is no way I'd be able to maintain my fleet.

Re: Ressource Converter Question
Question, can you access the resource converter from somewhere other than going to that particular planet? I always have to try to remember where I put it
Also, is there any per turn limit on the converter? I haven't found one myself.
