I think Cap Spoogy is wanting a tech that doesn't rely on sunlight (although it's a little difficult to have a planet in a system without a star, unless you mess around with the quadrant types...)

In my mod I was planning on cutting the crystalline, temporal (most), and physic techs. For some reason, I don't really like them - so that's why I was planning on my replication centre...
