Thanks for wrecking Christmas
Well, I broke down and bought a *second* copy of the game. Downloaded 2k, said it was done and then wouldn't let me redownload.
This _really_ sucks. I've never had problems buying electronic software before...fast cable connection and a great, stable computer. Now I'm out $60.00 and have no present for my room mate.
Thanks a lot.
If anyone else is thinking of buying electronically here, I'd suggest you skip it.

Nice. You wait till the day before Christmas to buy the gift and Shrapnel "wrecked" the holiday cause they don't have time to fix the problem for you.
That's the thing about life, sometimes stuff doesn't work right. Maybe next time order a little sooner to make sure you get it on time.

You do know that contacting Shrapnel will get the download reset so you can try again, right?

Actually, it wasn't that "they don't have time to fix the problem", they were closed...and not just the shipping department as their website stated that day. Had that been more apparent, I wouldn't have gone for the second download.
However, I would like to say that they refunded the money for the second game and reset the download for the first copy (and very nicely, I might add, considering what a b*tch I was). I also received a nice e-mail from Aaron Hall in sympathy.
In searching the forums, I'm not the first one who's had this problem...for anyone else with a similar issue, if you have a partial download on your desktop (or wherever you are saving your file) make sure you DELETE it before you try to download again.

Re: Thanks for wrecking Christmas
I'm glad everything got straightened out for you. FYI: if you jump into the thread named "a minor facelift" you can download and install the new wilderness trees and forests. There are some other 'tweaked' graphics here too, just scan the different threads!
Have a Great day, Cheers!
