Unique Sites?
I have seen conflicting information regarding this topic, so I will ask here:
- Are some magic sites unique occurences in one world? That is, if I find Site Q in province 39, does that mean it cannot be found in any other province for that game?
I know most sites can be found doubled and tripled, even in the same province, but am unsure about other sites.
Side Question: Are all sites "there" when the world is created, waiting to be discovered, or are none but the home capitals there and thus all are randomly determined each time a province is captured and searched?

All sites are "there" when the world is created.
As a result, when you take over some provinces, you'll find they come prepacked with enormous unrest levels, thanks to a hidden unrest-generator.

Re: Unique Sites?
I am under the impression that the sites which need a level 4 mage to find them (like the "Prison of the Desert Sun" or "the draining stone") are unique. But I have no idea what gave me that impression - probably something I have read here.
Not much help, I'm afraid. Most other sites are not unique, certainly, as you regularly find several Libraries (and so on) in one game.

Re: Unique Sites?
The chances of there being two of the same level 4 site on a map would be very small, even if they aren't unique.

Re: Unique Sites?
There are several unique sites. Of all levels.
Inkpot End, Prison of the Desert Sun, The Ferry, Skull Temple etc.
It is nothing special with these sites, just that they do not appear more than once in a given game (unless scripted in the map file).

That one also causes diseases to units in the province. What, you want MORE Inkpot ends, so your pretender can catch another nasty disease, shrivel, and die?

You know, I got depressed and didn't use SC pretenders for a long time after my first try ( no-magic Wyrm in Dom1) found Inkpot End in the first province he conquered... I never realised that it was unique, though! Thanks for Illwinter for that!

Re: Unique Sites?
Thanks.
Are the chances of occurence much smaller for higher level sites, or are they just harder to find?
