Re: NEW 12/8 : The SE IV Companion 0.82 Released
Ok...when I d/l new turns...that seems to work fine. I have seperate folders for each game with their own savegame folder. The change savegame path works...and the d/l saved game goes there. Yet the program wants to create a file in the se4 main savegame folder. I believe that this is causing the upload of files to not work properly...what do you think...Am I not doing something right?

Re: NEW 12/8 : The SE IV Companion 0.82 Released
The first time it downloads from PBW it might place the fie at the wrong path, but then it should move it to the correct path after download.
If there are two games with the ame name in the gamelist when choosing "all" filter, press the delete button on the wron one and choose to delete both file and database entry.
If that doesn't work it's a bug.

Re: NEW 12/8 : The SE IV Companion 0.82 Released
gah! I've somehow managed to break my companion install, and now I can't get it working. I can;t even download a working Version because all the links in this thread and my pms are broken. I've tried deleting all the ini and log files (hoping the companion would be able to rebuild them- it's worked in the past) but all I get now is errors!
Please tell me where I can download a complete companion and resource folder!
Also, does the companion do anything to the registry or should I just be able to delete the exe and folder and replace them with "clean" files?

Re: NEW 12/8 : The SE IV Companion 0.82 Released
Hi.
The links are back up.
If you place the Companion in another folder you must remove a registry entry, In next Version it will hopefully do that automaticly.
For now it's the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ruatha\Companion
You can remove the whole Ruatha folder, and if you then remove the ini it should be a fresh restart.
(My wife turned off the computer when I was at work, sorry for that, the link is back up now)
Have truncated the paths in the cleaner plug-in and the fixes seem to work.

Re: NEW 12/8 : The SE IV Companion 0.82 Released
Hmm... I have found what appears to be a new bug: I had it set to lopad automatically on PC boot, minimize to tray and check for updates.
It was still trying to load when my wide loged on, so I decided to disable all the auto-loading stuff mentioned above.
It still attempts to load when either of us logs on.
It's trying to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!

Re: NEW 12/8 : The SE IV Companion 0.82 Released
I'll make a few fixes more to the current Version and send it to you, it's user specific.
I'll change the scan time to hours.minutes instead of minutes and add "minimize at start".
I think th ereason it wants to log on at start can be the auto update check.
Go to settings -> application settings
and see if check for updates i checked, if so uncheck it.
And also see that the "USe IRC" isn't checked in the "settings screen" (Below the "SET UP IRC" button.
Se ya.

Dogscoff, check your PM.
A new development Version that should fix your problems and some small alterations to the plug-ins.
The IRC section is a bit messed up right now but useable..
