No more mods ? no more docs ? no more maps ?
Hi all,
is a long time that I have no news of new mods, docs or maps apart from the great Zen Conceptual Balance mod.
What is happening ? Are all of you too much busy playing dom2 ? Are all of you playtesting the new patches ?
In my wish list there are still some big project I waiting for:
1) Zen BSQR
2) Warhammer maps
3) Warhammer mods
4) New races for Black Moon Chronicles
5) Dracasia mod ?
6) Kolum mod ?
7) new maps as good as Cradle ...
... still I waiting for answer to some big question to be included in my manual addenda, like precision, morale ...
... is there anybody outthere ?
good play

Re: No more mods ? no more docs ? no more maps ?
Myself I'm eager to see Zen mods finalized, I really think it can become an "unofficial official balance mod" .
But there's not much teamwork nor feedback/testing it seems, Zen seems to have slowed progress .
For the rest I miss new maps mainly. A revival of the LotR mod could be fun too.

Re: No more mods ? no more docs ? no more maps ?
I am also awaiting Zen's mods!!!
I am also missing small wrap around maps (about 70~90 provinces). I am thus currently drawing on such a small wrap around map, but since I am not proficient with drawing things, this is slow process. I am currently drawing the province boundaries, but I wonder whether a map with a simple graphical backgound can be successful...

in my experience the maps that are played most are the one with nice graphics. I think that the best way to make a good map is to start from a good picture (there are really a lot avible on the web).
I would like very much a nice looking and well designed maps for a quick game for 3-4 players
good luck

Re: No more mods ? no more docs ? no more maps ?
I'm actually working on a nice mod, it's a "light" mod, adding a nation without much depth but good for some lightheaded playing.
I've finished working on the actual mod and now its work on the graphics (which aren't that good) so that means work is slowing down to a halt.
Though I bet thats not what you meant =P

Re: No more mods ? no more docs ? no more maps ?
The DomMap project was going strong and coming up on efforts for some new switches (wrap-arounds, continent surrounded by water, place image items such as trees and mountains like the other maps have).
It was also about to spur some other projects (unique naming, AI building, random AI selection, 1/2 dommap (read in a map image found on the net and create provinces), a tool to increase the map image and provide sidebars for text or keypress charts or flag to nation names help chart.
Im afraid that some of the Dom3 announcement pulled the wind out of the sails unless some programmer feels like taking it up.
Thats besides all of the half-done projects on my site ( www.dom2minions.com) which didnt get fueled.

Zen has entered into what is called the "4th Quarter Crunch". He will, when he has time to actually breath put a little more effort into the mods. If you have feedback that I can quickly test, look into, take another look at about the current mods it would ease up on that process considerably.

Re: No more mods ? no more docs ? no more maps ?
Well, I have a couple of modding projects but I haven't been able to finish those. Maybe I'm just too lazy.
My unfinished projects:
Fantasy General Mod - Features units, items, musics and hopefully maps from the greatest general-series game Fantasy General.
Devil's Lair - I need to draw new graphics for demons...
Trolls - I have updated that Illwinter's Troll-mod a bit. Graphics unfinished.
Shapeshifter God - New shapeshifter pretender.

Hopefully Zen can find a little time in the next 1.5-2 hours to sneak his turn in for the Europe game - it says hosting in 2 hours, but that could mean 61 minutes.

Re: No more mods ? no more docs ? no more maps ?
I was toying around with making an Elemental mod but it would require substantially reworking the units of 4 nations and MANY of the spells. Couldnt convince myself it was worth the effort given the modding tools we have available :/
