				 Re: Race Directory
This is a great resource. The only suggestion I have is maybe adding the various Ratings onto the main list for those of us who don't have any of these at all and have to just pick random links to check out.
 Great work!

Only thing I’ve seen about your shipset is the little preview pic in USy. John Beech is known to change names of races he Posts. I’ll correct the name as soon as I can.
It will probably take a long time until it’s uploaded in USy. Perhaps you want to wait until you finish the AI, but is your race Online anywhere else?

Sounds like a good idea but it's hard to implement.
Rate them with my opinion? I thought of adding a little paragraph of comments to every race but I’m too lazy.
Have them rated them by AI performance, graphics quality, originality/faithful sci-fi interpretation, etc. would be great, but to hard to do.
Players votes?
I wish I could allow visitors rate and add comments to the races.

I also thought of linking directly to ZIP files, but I think that many webmasters may see it as if I was trying to steal their work. Also many shipsets have comments in the site that are not included in readme files.

As always I’m open to any suggestion.

Andrés

Old AI is big problem. Maybe I should try to find someone(s) to do AI for my shipsets that have outdated AI. But right now first priority is to get some sleep. |

 Critical updates to outdated AIs:
 In AI_General
 Political Savy > Political Savvy
Design Name File add .txt to the file name

 In AI_DesignCreation
Phased-Shield Generation > Phased Shield Generation
Combat To Hit Dec > Combat To Hit Defense Plus
Combat To Hit Add > Combat To Hit Offense Plus
Combat Sensors > Combat To Hit Offense Plus

 In AI_Settings
These lines may be missing (of course you can change them to fit the race)
Get Angry Over Allied Colonizable Planets := True
Get Angry Over Enemy Colonizable Planets := False
Percentage of Allied Planets to consider as Attack Locations for Anger := 10
Percentage of Enemy Planets to consider as Attack Locations for Anger := 5
 Personality Group                                                            := 3

Ya, it's up at PBW. You have to check for an older Version though, as somebody uploaded a racefile and replaced my shipset with it. |

				 Re: Race Directory
Found two races on my hard drive that you might have missed, found them wayyy back. The Eysk have two sets, the original red ones and a gold/different Version called the Eysk Imperial Guard or somesuch, and another seperate race I found at a site (can't remember site or author) called something like the Pryds or Pryddian Empire (ships kinda look like a Klingon dagger, race pic is a being made of what looks to be metal mesh).......will upload them if anyone interested.....(as I can't provide links.....maybe someone else can??)

"Memory," the old man said softly, "is tricky. I have learned two things from it. One: That without meaningful memories, there is no life. Re: Race Directory
Ok list was updated, link is the same http://se4kdy.cyberwars.com/racedir.htm
You’re right Deathstalker, I had missed the silver-golden Eysk, found them in closed section of the forum.
I think I remember a race called the Pyrids or something like that, grey pyramid shaped ships, a little Goa’uld like looking. Maybe you’re talking about those, can’t remember where I found them.
Couldn’t find them by while searching for them I found Kevin Shepardson’s homepage and could download the Saucers shipset.

ZeroAdunn, found your race, looks good. There’s a spelling mistake in name of weapon platforms, I think they say “protrait” instead of “portrait”
Also noted they have the same flag of the race called (at least in Xrsto) Galactic Command (dir name G) that’s similar to other called (at least there) Lyosion. Are you the author of those shipsets?

I had noticed that many sites already have Ratings, though not all the same scale. Maybe just that would be sifficent to get a general idea of what the shipset is like? |

				 Re: Race Directory
 Hi Andrés,
the race directory is a great idea. There have been some changes concerning the Space Vikings. Please be so kind and include them in your next update:
Full name: Space Vikings
dir name: Vikings
Author: dogscoff/Rollo

Thanks
