I split up my availible ground troops deployed at the beginning and send half north and east into the hills, and the other half south and east into the hills.
No sign of the enemy yet.

Turn 2
The ground forces (boots on the ground) continue to move east. A rifle squad is shot at by the enemy HQ dug in at a hilltop in the north. We lose a man. A supporting vickers MG section lays down a steady steam of fire at the enemy HQ,with no conclusive results.
Attached is a screenshot of the action.
More troops arrived for me on this turn as well, 3 tanks and three supporting mortar sections in APC's,as well as my HQ unit.

Nice Skirmisher! I can't wait for your reports on turns 3 and 4. This is getting interesting!

Turn 3
The vickers section opens up again on the enemy HQ. 4 of 6 men are killed. A rifle section loses 3 men while advancing in the north to a north korean rifle section dug into a hiltop nearby. Sustained fire from the rest of the troops in the area, including a vickers section in the south, rout the enemy.
The four US M-26 Pershing tanks take up position in the roadway headed east slightly behind the Austrailian ground troops working the hills to the north and south.
The mortar units and thier carriers take up positions west of the northern hills well out of enemy sight.

Turn 4
Another M-26 Pershing arrives. More NK rifle sections begin firing as I advance. Several men are killed, but we kill off about 2 thirds of the dug in enemy spotted on the previous turn. A bunch more NK rifle sections are spotted in the south,we lose a few more down there, but shoot one enemy squad up real good, leaving three men routed.
An enemy cave is ID'ed and is attacked by three Pershing Tanks with no effect. A heavy 75mm gun in the cave is getting shots off at the tanks as well.
Attached screenshot shows southern Austrailian ground troops, along with the HQ. To the right the four enemy rifle sections ,including the three man retreating squad.

Turn 5
The battle is heating up quite abit, the enemy killed quite a few of my men that turn, and finished off a rifle squad in the northern hills. My Pershing tanks destroyed the enemy cave position and we destroyed the last of the dug in enemy rifle squad up north. We continue to push east, but not without losses. New enemy units popping up in the hills north and south.

Turn 6
We continue to attempt to advance. Both sides sustained some losses though no squads were finished off. In the southern hills we are facing increasing resistance from the Nk's. I target some of these squads with my mortars.
I have South Korean aircraft and 105mm arty but I dont see any concrete type targets at this time, only north korean troops here and there, alot of them severly shot up by my troops.

Turn 7
OK North Korean armor (T-34/85's) appeared on the scene this turn, and I'm happy to say,the pershing tankers took all three out. Woot! We also got a north korean rifle squad to surrender. The advance in the southern hills has bogged down abit.Managed to kill off that HQ unit up north finally as well.
Screenshot shows positions of destroyed NK armor.

Turn 8
In the southern area, most of my squads are partials. The enemy is strong here. I target the area with the 105mm artillery. In the north we destroy a good portion of the enemy squad dug into the hiltop, making it retreat.
My troops control the strategic hiltops in the area.
I target a few broken enemy squads in the flat lands of the map center with the mortars.
