Actually, from what I saw, comparing it with Jagged Alliance 2 is insult to Jagged Alliance 2.

I am not sure...at hard I don't think you can save in combat. But theres custom difficulty sliders. I don't know if the demo has them, but you can adjust how much HP the enemy has, as well as every other difficulty variable.
I have no idea why you couldn't kill him. Point Blank..you should have destroyed him. Only way I can see him living is if you Single shot and you had a bunch of negative conditions...but even then. And you said you burst to his head. His head should have been blown off....literally. Until you told me this, based on my playtime..if I got to point blank range and had a SMG I could kill him before he had a chance to react. Its the very reason I normally carried a SMG on every guy.
All I can tell you is that never happened to me. Now the interrupt thing should have only happened if you had a newbie scout, which I assume you did in the Demo. Its quite possible to be interrupted if your skill is low...even if you have a complete drop on your enemy. I loved my scout. I made him into a super duper melee guy. He could sneak right up to the enemy and cut him and his friends in half with his katana. Mucho fun.
Between the physics system, the RPG aspects, and the actual combat system...don't know how you can go wrong if your a fan of the genre.

World in Conflict looks really interesting. I was a fan of both Ground Control games, and its from the same team.
Unfortunatley I can't find any info on it, other then the article in PCGamer. I went to the GC2 forums, and theres something called Project Ice that sound familiar, but they are hush hush about it so I can't be 100%.

Just found out about it, but Titan Quest sounds like it might give the hundreds of hours of hacking, slashing, and looting that Diablo 2 did.

Re Titan Quest:
Eh - looks like this is the official site, but third party sites like Gamespy, IGN, etc, have a lot more information than the official one - previews, developer diaries, etc. Incidentally, it's headed up by Brian Sullivan, the guy who co-helmed the Age of Empires RTS.

Even if Diablo II hadnt been put in my head I would have said it after seeing their little video. The monsters even remind me of Diablo II monsters upgraded to 3d

They have been hyping this game for a while. It looks very very good. But, any game that gets a lot of pre-release hype looks very very good. Hopefully it will deliver.
