SE V: to hit modifiers?
I am still searching how I can see the cumulative hit modifiers (offense/defense) a certain ship or unit design has.
Anybody knows where you get this very important information?

Re: SE V: to hit modifiers?
By sending Aaron an e-mail saying you need to put this in the ship design screen ASAP?

Re: SE V: to hit modifiers?
What I want to see on the ship design screen is the tonnage used/free shown at ALL TIMES, not just on one of the two display modes! I keep clicking back and forth just to see that...

Re: SE V: to hit modifiers?
That is a direct result of the infestation of big, pointless pictures that permeates the UI... There is not enough room for as much info as needs to be there on most screens.

Re: SE V: to hit modifiers?
You had to switch between screens to get all the info in SE4, too. The items being switched between are just different (no idea why the combat mods aren't there- there's plenty of room..)

Re: SE V: to hit modifiers?
Yes, well, SE4's design screen was much smaller than the design screen in SE5. It somehow managed to fit in a "component details" panel too... The slot layout could have stood having a few pixels shaved off to keep all of the important info on-screen at once.

Re: SE V: to hit modifiers?
SE4 also makes you go to a seperate window for mounts. SE5 doesn't, which takes up the spot the comp info screen would have been.
Considering that screen only really added cost to the mix, its a fair trade. The SE5 screen also adds 4 more types of info to the mix and lets you select a strategy. If the slot layout part wasn't there it would be only very slightly larger than the SE4 screen.
The best option I think would be to ax the warning screen. In both games it takes up far too much space considering how little information it actually gives.

Re: SE V: to hit modifiers?
It was terrible early in the beta when there was no warnings panel and you only got a popup after you try to finalize the design. :-\
