Not dead yet
Fear the mighty Agarthan war machine! Do you see that sudden drop in R'lyeh's army size? Do you? We did that. A handful of loyal Agarthan defenders slaughtered hundreds of the slime-ridden invaders.
We warn any other who would dare oppose us: you could be next. Beware!

I plead to Manslaughter 1
Not bad, Bird, not bad at all! Of course, that was only the feeler while my real army is underway... Now would be the time for you to start shrieking in terror for my amusement, Man, for soon I shall cut your tongue and your heart, and how are you going to shriek without those, huh?

It was early morning on the fields of Fairgrove. The army of Man was on the march to retake the control over the farmlands from the evil forces of Mictlan. There were defenders and archers of Man. Even a small group of Wardens had joined the ranks. In total, the army was made up of roughy 120 men and was lead by Bluebird, the Brilliant God, and legitimate ruler of this province.
On the other side of the battlefield stood the forces of Mictlan. There was a large group (around 100) of local militia troops - not really worth to mention, except for their strange, colorful costumes and the slings that they were carrying. About half of them fled after the first blast of arrows hit them from the archers.
But then there were the actual forces of Mictlan, that had just arrived from a conquoring raid to the north. They were lead by Rumbler, the prophet of Mictlan - a former scout and vicious character that would do everything to please his foul master. The troops contained around a group of foul spawns, ugly inbreeds originating from Mictlan experiments, 30 eagle warriors and 11 jaguar warriors.
Jaguar and eagle warrior are fanatic fighters for the cause of Mictlan rulership. The were immediately blessed by the prophet, giving them supernatural powers beyond the forces of men: increased attack and defense skills, flaming weapons, magic resistance, quickness and - most important - a twist in faith that will yield the first hit aginst them useless.
The eagle warrior, now blessed, directly approached the archers and slaughtered them. Every body kept on fireing against these warriors, archers with arrow, wardens and defenders used their crossbows. There were heavy losses on both sides.
Then the jaguar warriors clashed with the wardens. The wardens gave their best, but it is hard to fight an enemy that will transform into a beast once he is killed. Mictlan militias were trying to help the jaguar warriors, but actually did more damage in the own rankes through the inpricise aim of their slings.
In the end - after most Wardens were dead - the tide turned and the defenders started rushing forwards. The Mictlan army was retreating. A hard-earned victory for Man. Now it is time to bury the dead.

Turn AI .
You are way too persistent for my liking, almost as evil as Caine .
Boron starts wailing long elegies about all the research Kiss's persistence costs him. Boron starts wailing even longer elegies about how bad it is to play a game with cumulative VPs.
See, now you achieved your goal Kiss. You made me cry .

Yeah, I don't reckon I'll be playing any more of 'em either. It's just not for me.

The oppressed conqueror, bemoaning his griefs and lamentations. I love it!
This is exactly the kind of stuff these forums are made for. YellowCactus, take notice.
I'm excited, since there isn't a sadder, more tragic nation out there than late Atlantis - we've even got a shock unit called "Mournful" - so when, inevitably, we get caught up in some conflict, there will really be some gnashing of teeth!

Re: Turn 20
Wait, you _don't_ like cumulative VPs? Best damn thing to happen to the game imo - makes for more of a dynamic game than before. Maybe it sucks in some ways to be the guy with 23 out of 25 CVPs, as everyone gangs up on you, but hey, it always sucks to get ganged up on - but after you lose your VPs, they should stop ganging on you.
Hmmm - actually, anyone else think the score graphs need a new display? How many VPs everyone has, as opposed to how close to winning by cumulative VPs?
(And I'm not evil!!! Well, maybe I'm evil - but I'm not persistent! )
