Playtester Needed: Soviet POV Cold War Scenario
PM me with any comments and critcisms. Since this is my first scenario.
Autobahn Offensive '89
USSR advance vs. FRG/USA
Description: Following tensions during Gorbachev's reforms, WWIII begins in Europe.
Comrade Commander: Secure this section of the Autobahn and surronding area for our divisional supply convey, arriving later today. Intelligence reports a strong mechanized American force entering your sector--Smash them! To aide you in fulfilling your assigned tasks an additional tank Company is being transferred to your command.
inspired by Ulf Lundstrom's WWIII series.
Scenario takes up slot 213

Re: Playtester Needed: Soviet POV Cold War Scenari
Hi Smersh!
Nice job - I just started to play your scenario, and I'm already running into the German delay forces. Unfortunately I don't have the time to play it through right now but I'm looking forward to see what surprises you have included. I found the details, such as the abandoned civilian cars on the highway, quite appealing, and realistic as well.
We really need more people who publish their design work! I'm sure many of you got a lot of scenarios + campaign saved but never published, maybe because they were never finished or because they're not so perfect - but they don't have to be!
I myself have run into some delays with my Algerian campaign (see my thread) - it's still undergoing testing and I don't have time to finish it right now - but I'll publish it ASAP, no matter what the testers say, hehe. (so far they like it though)
Cheers,
Shan

Re: Playtester Needed: Soviet POV Cold War Scenari
thanks-this scenario started as a battle for myself, then gradually I thought about posting it here.
possible spoiler: I've played through 2 versions of the scenario and there still seems to be some problems with how the American units move. the bradleys and tanks don't seem to move forward but hang back near their deployment area. despite the waypoints I've set. Its complicated by the fact that other units do follow the waypoints. Although it just may be realistic fo the bradelys to act as TOW launchers and not neccessarly move forward.

Played it through the other day..., the Americans moved forward, after a while, no problems - except for the SP TOW tracks (M901 I think) - which impressed me plenty - as these are more useful in the defensive role - can be a bit tricky to make the AI "behave" the way you want at times..., sometimes it will also keep a small reserve and not send everything rushing forward...
Very good work! We want more!

New Scenario
New Scenario!
Autobahn Offensive II '89
Date: September 6, 1989
Battle Location: North German Plain
Battle Type: USSR vs FRG, Meeting Engagement
Description: Following tensions during Gorbachev's reforms, WWIII begins in Europe
Comrade Commander: Even at night our offensive operations continue, your battalion has been given an important task. You must seize and hold a main highway Road Junction. It is necessary for our logistical elements in this sector. Expect heavy resistance, and good luck.
Special Conditions:This battle is supposed to reperesent a night operation, visibility has been lowered, an added suggestion is lowering spotting, hitting and rally to between 70-90.
Notes: If played against the AI the human player should take the Soviet side.
Sources:Fictional

Re: New Scenario
I just finished playing your scenario. I supose junction with V is really important, but computer seems to attack it with all forces through middle, and it's a bloodbath (i didn't lost even 1 tank while killing ALL op4 armour)
I supose adding V hexes on flanks would make computer make some flanking manover - because without it it's like talking candy from a baby
