Mines I don\'t need
How do I get rid of mines that I don't need anymore? I can't seem to order them to self-destruct.

Then there must be a bug. They are supposed to self-destruct when you order them to.

Its like Aaron just completely forgot about what he did with SE IV when he started working on SE V. There are so many missing things, oddities, and so on that playing SE V has proven to be more of a job than an enjoyment.

Ok well I wanted to make sure I wasn't imagining things and is made no sense that my ships "send codes" to have the mines NOT blow up, but I can't manually tell them to blow up on command.

I don't have SE V yet to check myself, but have you tried "firing on" the mines? Maybe Aaron changed that without explaining it, like the thing where you now scrap facilities from the cargo menu.
