				 Pretender titles
 Two questions:
1.) Does anyone know specifically how to decode pretender titles? I'm pretty sure they give information about both the pretender chassis and the paths chosen, but I've never tested enough to be able to decode them, except for a few obvious ones (I'm pretty sure "Patron of Languages" = strong Earth). [Edit: okay, I should have done a forum search first. No, it's not known, but Taqwus posted a list of the possible titles here: ]http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/uploads/502382-d3tlist.txt]
2.) What are your favorite pretender titles? Whether or not they're computer-generated.

I like "Eater of the Dead," "the Far Traveller," and "Enemy of Infants."

I sure hope no one comes up with a way to decode them. Takes the fun out of it imo. |

				 Re: Pretender titles
I saw someone use one as misdirection propoganda. He added "the sleeping surprise" to the titles and got his enemies to rush him too soon (his god wasnt sleeping)

Maybe for 10 points you could choose one title yourself. |

				 Re: Pretender titles
You can add a title kindof. I can name Iam Agod
 as
 Iam Agod, the Humble
and it will show up as
Iam Agod, the Humble, the Thinker, the Master of Winds except that the god list will show my name and the extra title I gave. Still it is fun to do. Ive seen people do it in some of the games.

				 Re: Pretender titles
My Saurolich, Lord of Suicides? Awesome. Excellent on three points- first death magic, second immortality (can die as often as he wants), third - became a lich by dying. Kickass. Pity I can't force it to show up all the time. Makes me wish I'd created that pretender separately. Or could save and tinker within the game one that has a particularly awesome title.
Not at awesome, but also nice?
 My Solar Disc
Shapsh, Lord of Many Names, Enemy of Darkness, King of Brilliance, Lord of Fires, the Serpent Mind.
Heh. Lord of Many Names. My mother of monsters was only the Far Traveller, nothing else.

				 Re: Pretender titles
 Notes:
Entries with '#' at either beginning or end are variable titles that can have things like 'Lord', 'King', 'Queen', 'God', 'Goddess', 'Minister', 'Emperor', 'Prince', 'Princess', 'Duke' etc in the place of '#'.

Things with '!' in the entry, usually at the front, seem to be ones that will have either 'He' or 'She' in place of '!'.

				 Re: Pretender titles
That's pretty cool. There are some interesting names I've never gotten - most recently had "the Pillar that is Purity" for my latest MP pretender. I guess there must be some way to calculate which titles you get, but there's probably a random element to it too. |
