OT International Space Development Conf in Dallas
This is kind of an advertisement, but if you are interested in real space exploration (as well as games) Please check out the 2007 ISDC I am helping to put on here in Dallas Texas, USA this weekend.
See the ISDC 2007 site. I will be heading the Gaming track, and would welcome any SEIV or SEV players near enough to visit. Volunteer to help out and even get in free.

If anybody around here meets up down there, be sure to take pictures!
There should be a life-size stuffed Phong mascot

Presumably he likes to cash all his wages out as small denomination notes, spread them all over his bed and sleep on them.

Re: OT International Space Development Conf in Dallas
work is such a nasty word. let me rephrase that. i have to be at my place of employment this weekend. i may or may not have to work (hopefully not) depending on what breaks over the weekend. unfortunately for some reason people insist on have working telephone service, internet connections, stores like to have the ability to take peoples money immediately when they run the credit cards, weird stuff like that. but fortunately my hours are midnight to 8a so if i am not too tired i would like to go and see what is going on. i do enjoy the small denomination notes that i accrue from my place of employment as they allow me to acquire neat games and toys (like SE:IV and SE:V). if i had a choice though between being at my place of employment and running around at this conference i would have chosen the conference, but silly me decided to be greedy instead of having this weekend off. the small denomination notes i accrue though i will put towards good use, maybe, um possibly, who am i kidding i am going to blow it all on comics, dvds, games and computer parts. oh well. cant take the samll demoniation notes with me when i go so might as well enjoy them now.

Re: OT International Space Development Conf in Dal
Well, that's good. I was worried there that you spent most of your time at work.

Re: OT International Space Development Conf in Dallas
nope. standard 40hr work week in a 24x7 environment. they shift my days off during the week when its my turn in the rotation to work the weekend. best part of working graveyard is i get to do things while everyone else is at work and still go out and enjoy doing things after others get finished with their day. also we are nowhere as busy as the poor people on day shift and there are not all the annoying upper level management around to deal with since they all work 8a-5p. beleive it or not we still get things done even without them looking over our shoulders all day.
but i am looking forward to this conference this weekend, cant go Friday as will be watching pirates3. but maybe Saturday and/or Sunday i can make it. fortunately its here in Dallas so thats convenient.
