Re: Small Talk
Scales bug? Do we need to restart? I wouldn't mind, as long as I got one day to tinker with my pretender. That part is so fun.

Re: Small Talk
If we DO restart, I'd love it if I could switch to a group I am more familiar with...

Re: Small Talk
When the scale bug strikes, the scales in your home province suddenly change (often reset to no scales at all). If you've taken good scales, this is a bit of a setback as it takes a while for them to come right again.
About a restart: Well I'm a bit disinclined to do that since it's a shame to lose the game's momentum. I don't think it's worth it for the scales bug, since someone's likely to get it most games. Consider it as an unlucky event. If you are all clamouring for a restart so you can change nations/pretenders though, I suppose we could do. Votes?

Re: Small Talk
Okay. While I'd love to tinker with my pretender, I'd also find it interesting to see just what I can achieve with my flawed design. I'll learn from it, certainly.
With Szumo offering to stick with it, I'll back him up. It'd kinda be wimpy of me to restart when the guy hit by the bug is toughing it out.
P.S. I'd meant for that smily to be humorous, but it just comes out plain creepy. Its freakin me out. It's the eyes. You can tell that smily is just insane, and hiding, just behind the alpha layer, is a bloody yellow knife, its just waiting to stab into my heart.

Re: Small Talk
Summer in Agartha
Our ventures above ground have revealed a strange new civilization of people who actually prefer the light. I debate whether to make my presence known, but I know not of these people nor their intent. They seem strangely passive. Their castle lies in the midst of fertile farmlands I had espied from afar, and hoped to settle. I worry what this means for the future of my civilization. I have developed plans for a secure, easy, and fortified peace, yet such a balance requires much care in my reach. If I seize a further province, any peace will be more uneasy, but my offensive options grander. Unfortunately, all this speculation is useless without knowing what surrounds me in other directions. Still, I can see much benefit from a strategic alliance. At least in the short term, though there are some long-term drawbacks to such a pact with the heathens...
I must weigh their character carefully, and do my best to predict their possible plans before I decide on peace or war. Still, I suspect they might find such a deal as attractive.
So that explains it. I was trying to figure out what possible strategy Pythium might have. And from what little I could see, I had trouble guessing their plans, motivation, or essential nature. Because they were asleep.
I won't yet reveal my location, though I won't be to hard to find. I'll gather a little intel, and complete the necessary setup for stage one of my strategy (only a turn away, btw, next turn, it won't be done, but all the essentials are in place, and I can do something other than recruit another mage, which you'll know is what I've been doing if you hit the charts) before I change course and start laying diplomatic plans. I'm still quite a way away from completing my early expansion - just look at Ermor go.

Re: Small Talk
There's a funny story as to how the nation of pythium fell asleep. Their deity had just graduated from school, and they were celebrating, planning on submitted orders the next turn. Due to one thing or another, they didn't get up for 13 hours after they went to bed, missing the deadline by an hour.

Re: Small Talk
Adventures of Agartha... I've sent in my turn, twice, but llamaserver has not responded. I've just reloaded, reended, and resent a third time. Next I'll try webmail, but first I'll be patient and see if this gets a response.
