Flaming arrows/weapons

Do these bad boys do their extra 6 points of AP damage to units that are resistant to fire? Or is it cut/prevented by the percentage of fire resistance?

It is considered as fire damage, i.e resistance will stop it.

Do they still count as magic weapons (for the purpose of hitting ethereal/mistformed creatures) against fire resistance creatures?

I think so. At least the arrows.

it appears that arrows now hit ethereal units normally anyway. While I have not tested it extensively, it appears ethereal treats melee attacks and missile attacks differently.

no, i do know the difference.

Of late it seems my ethereal units(like dispossessed spirits)
get hit alot by normal missile weapons.
