Re: What kind of sock puppet are you?
I prefer to be a dirty, low down, defensive-specialist. I dislike attacking, but I love seeing the enemy fall into traps. I like to expand quickly for a short period of time, and then hold on to what I've got.
I also go for quality over quantity for troops, which fits into my guerilla-tactics mentality.

Re: What kind of sock puppet are you?
My friends would decscribe me rather as "You can be sure than one day Chacal will backstab you" so i have a bad reputation. And I love to play the bad guys anyway.
In Dom 3 I consider myself as pacifist, until i have a big advatage on somebody. Anyway I consider myself as a poor player and I loose a lot. But the most important is to take fun, not win, at least for me.

 | Maybe the difference is that the Dom3 computer AI can't never say anything about me

So the AI can say something about you?
 Double negatives are fun.

Re: What kind of sock puppet are you?
Just to join in: I usually choose a diplomatic role, and base my strategy on the nation's units' descriptions. As an example, I've played EA Agartha with Pale One/Ancient One armies with just few Troglodytes for support.
Also, I choose weird names. "Emppu, the Devourer of Apples", the Manticore etc, or "Lord of the Seven Teas" for Tien Chi when it was winter and I was constantly drinking tea to keep warm.

I always find it amusing in times of peace and frightening in times of war, how people are compelled to combine a sense of honor with military actions.

 | And I would reverse that. Which probably means the world is split on the subject. Unfortunately, it only takes one person seeing it as a joke to ruin it for all of us.

 | Without honor, there are no pacts. Without pacts, winning is much more random. If you can't trust anyone at all, you can't combine your forces.

I agree that sometimes the pacts should be broken. That's what makes the game fun. |
