Oh, and win or lose, I'd just like to say--unlike Chinchilla, this game has been an absolute *blast* so far. And my writeup is ready to post when this is all over; so far, it's got 3 parts, and I'm just starting on Part 4...: )

Agreed. And I'm not just saying that cause I got my butt handed to me in Chinchilla. This game has been much more dynamic than that game was.

Pfft.
I was having fun in chinchilla. Until just recently, anyways.

Any MP game of Dom3 is better than none, but I think there is a night and day difference between here and Chinchilla.

Caelum, you got lucky that when I tried to move into that territory with full force I accidentally snuck my troops there because they were overly glamorous, thus getting split into two battles rather than one smackdown.

Have to agree on the Chincilla vs Mara discussion, although in my case I DID get my butt handed very quickly in the Chincilla game

*winks*
Abysia is busy carving me up right now in that game, so I got what was coming to me.

Re: Mara - T\'ien Ch\'i
no worries - if there's only one MP rule I adhere to then its not to carry grudges from game to another. Besides, it was fun (well, kind of ) being thought a lesson by your Pythium communions giving a demonstration in the power of air magic!
Still good to hear Abysia is doing well, he was an honorable neighbour to me, albeit very diplomatic (I was begging him to help me out be he kept politely refusing).

Re: Mara - EA game for newish players - recruiting
Although this is a 'newbie' game, would anyone have any great objection if Velusion took over for me in a few turns? He ahs rather a lot of experience, so there could be possible objections.

Re: Mara - EA game for newish players - recruiting
Would it be a problem to postpone things over the Labor Day holiday? I'm going to be at a wedding from Thursday through Sunday this next week. I might have internet access Thursday, but I will have neither game nor internet access after Thursday.

Velusion taking over Yomi is fine with me, as is postphoning over Labor Day.

Stupid question, but do we have a mod for this game?
