Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open
When does the game expect to start? Or rather... after a nation is assigned to me, will I have time to practice or need I select nations I'm familiar with? |

Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open
Hi LP: I originally hoped to start the game by Sunday, but we need to wait until we have enough players and if we're gonna use the CB mod, we need to wait for QM to update it. If it is going to take QM a long while, then I would recommend that we play Vanilla.
Aezeal: No. Luck 3 is not a must unless you really want the heroes, and they are in no way essential for winning the game. Also, many strategies involve opting for misfortune in order to use the design points elsewhere.

Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open
Thanks, Pashadawg, but that's not the answer I'm looking for. Let me rephrase my question:
Roughly speaking (and I won't hold you to this), when will nations be assigned? Roughly speaking, how long after that will it be until we need our pretenders in and the game gets going?

I am specifically interested in how much time I will have to get ready once I'm assigned a specific nation, and whether I can afford to pick a nation I'm unfamiliar with or whether I'll need to select only ones I'm already ready to play.

Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open
 Hi LP:
I would say we'll have about 1 - 2 days to submit pretenders.

Should I put you on the list of players, or are you still thinking about it?

Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open
my experience w/ the old cb mods and 3.10 is that the spell mod and the nations mod give an error, but the simpler pretender and scale mods don't. oh, and if we were to have until next weekend until we started (since i have no experience w/ late game nations, and would need to experiment on a pretender a bit), I'd consider (against my better judgement and all that is holy) joining in the fun |

Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open
Hmm... I'm still thinking about it. It's a problem that the only Late Era race I've played is Atlantis. There's plenty of others I'm interested, but haven't played before. |

Well Lazy - time for some experimentation. I am also trying to pay a nation that I have no real experience with ... do not try to be over-prefectionistic :-)
