Re: Forseti (Started)
With the consensus here, I've gone ahead and sent a PM to llamabeast about this. Here's hoping he sees it in the next hour or so. ; )
Btw, I just recently found out in another game how you can see staling data for these types of games: go to llamabeast's server here, select the game you want to look at, then click "Admin Options" at the bottom, then "Show staling data".

Re: Forseti (Started)
Sorry guys, I had not thought to check for stalling data so early in the game. Thanks Indy for taking the initiative to contact Llama as he is the only one who can retify.

Re: Forseti (Started)
Okay, Oceania is AIed. It was hardly worth it as it turned out, they will be gone in a couple of turns anyway.

Re: Forseti (Started)
Now that we have been playing on the map for a while, does anyone have any comments about the starting positions? Or about the no independents?

Re: Forseti (Started)
I chose a poor nation to play with no indies, I knew that going in. I expect that no indies will exacerbate the unbalancedness of the nations, which should be fun. I am enjoying the no indies aspect alot, it changes the gameplay.
As far as the starting locations, I haev no complaints. Actually I am rather pleased with my position, as i would have withany of them.

I'm loving my starting location. Playing without indies has been a little...wierd. I agree with Cor2, it definately changes gameplay--I've got no complaints though.

Re: Forseti (Started)
I forgot the no indies thing, untill I wanted to create another castle, and my expansion army was stranded in a nice castle position when the rest of my commanders were bogged down in forests several turns away. Having to choose between expanding and making another castle wasn't a choice I wanted to make and I should have planned for it.
I think the fact that there are no indies increases the need for planning ahead and is a good thing. I think this game will favor the prepared (and eat me alive )

Re: Forseti (Started)
C'tis would have been a great choice for no indies in MA, in retrospect. They don't do well with indy troops anyway, because of miasma. Plus they'd enjoy all the swampland on this map!

Re: Forseti (Started)
That is true, Ctis would have rocked.
I think Marginon and Man would do well too just because of thier diversity of troops.

Re: Forseti - Early Encounter
Greetings Pangaea,
The early encounter with your forces was not intended--at least not on our part.
We suggest however that your centaurs would find much more hospitable grazing to the south & east.
The territory north of your exploratory force belongs to The One.
