I'm going to work on a random map. I like cradle of dominions a lot, but to be honest, I'm concerned that R'yleh will have a sizable advantage on that map. I am a new player, but it seems to be a very powerful nation, and to be the only unchallenged underwater nation at the same time, particularly on this map . . . I'd like to hear what more experienced players have to say.

Having said that, if nobody really cares, I really do like cradle of dominions, so we could just play that anyway. Life doesn't have to be fair, and neither do games

Random or Cradle is fine by me.

CBM is a good mod too so I am okay with that.

I would also be inclined to be concerned about R'lyeh on Cradle. They would have a lot of space. Generally there should be slightly fewer water provinces per water race than there are land provinces per land race, since it's easier for water races to expand to land than vice versa.

Alright, I'll sit out of the vote. I'm working on a random map, too, but I could play Oceania to balance out Cradle. Although that might just give R'yleh two capitals

So do we play with CBM or without it?
