Re: TheEndofTime - started
I am pretty certain it's over. But, I'd like to at least see the clash between that ~800ish army you have off my coast, and my main force.
Not so sure I'd call a victory there "turning the tide", more like "too late to matter", but it would be nice to see what the results are - not that I much intend to face LA Ermor again, F that.

Re: TheEndofTime - started
I delayed the turn due to personal reasons. Let me know how folks feel about a concession.
Unfortunately, i've been mired in a war with Mictlan since right in the beginning, after finding myself extremely boxed in. LA Man has a rough time against double-blessed eagle warriors, but even though I believe i'm on the cusp of winning my local war, my nation is clearly weak and second-rate for now. I'm guessing Micah has quitea bit going for him already =)

Re: TheEndofTime - started
Hmm, did you post that before seeing the new turn that came out Jim? If so I've got some bad news for you. Unless your main force was something other than that 53-commander monstrosity that was running around starving. (Which ironically was quite a boon to your forces, since they had the good sense to run away sooner instead of later)
I was just wondering about the host because you had your turn in way in advance of the normal deadline, JA, or was it a "just-in-case" delay?

Re: TheEndofTime - started
More of a "I didn't remember if i'd sent it in and didn't want to worry about it" delay.

Re: TheEndofTime - started
Yes Micah, the monstrosity.
I just summoned my first Harbinger, and was trying my hardest to get the rest of my Conj done, but just too late.....
As I started that battle, I thought to myself, "That golem isn't even that well built, why did I lose..... oh, hi Wrathful Skies.".
I don't think that "sense to retreat" mattered a whit, with nearly half the commanders murdered by the BE.
Anyway, I concede. Completely. My toast is burnt.

Re: TheEndofTime - started
Hey folks. Due to some personal matters, I am forced to withdraw from all the games I am currently playing. I've chosen to set myself to AI (which I normally hate to do) rather than look for a substitute because I don't want to delay the game any longer than I already have. Thank you for your understanding.

Gah, you don't know the meaning of "boxed in". After all, you had 50% more neighbours than I had

Shouldn't take long. According to my scouts, Mictlan has a whopping 76 units all told. You already have more than twice that in your main army south of his capital. When you add my army coming from the north, I don't see how they can do anything.
That being said, once Mictlan is gone, I don't see what either of us can do. From the graphs, even everyone together we won't be able to do much against the sheer number of Ermor troops, so I'm quite willing to concede too.

Re: TheEndofTime - Going AI
I'm leaving on vacation. Normally I would have looked for a sub, but given that all my neighbours are already AI and that beyond them is Ermor everywhere and C'Tis has no chance of doing anything against them, I've switched to AI.
Thanks all, good luck to those remaining and congrats to Micah.

Re: TheEndofTime - Going AI
I just hope that we host oooooone more turn before it's over. I can't do a whole lot to stem the flow of undead, but the last couple of turns have shown me a bit about what Marignon can do against undead - it's pretty nifty.
Just need to be closer friends with a Nature nation next time this happens..... And maybe focus my research to specifically fight Ermor. Unfortunately though, what's best for killing Ermor, isn't what's best for fighting against living people.

Congratulations to Micah, I am clearly bested. An enjoyable game and a good learning experience, thanks to all who played.
