My mistake was that I had an older version of CBM installed. Really sorry guys, installing the new one and resending pretender right now. |

Re: BonsaiKitten - Game for people who feel constricted - upload
And so we´re off the ground finally! Sorry for delaying ye all. I can only blame the fact that I have just finished a six day fast and my brain is still a bit trippy. Seems a good and thematic way to start off my first MP game as Bandar log though.
I will play as Vandana Shiva , inspired by the indian human rights activist of the same name and one of my greatest role models. I had the honour to meet her last month at the European social forum in Malmö, and thus I know from personal experience that she posess the charisma and spiritual power to make a worthy Dom3 pretender
Whether I can translate her non-violent, ecofeminist, global rights perspective into a working strategy is yet to be seen.
And so it began...

It started in the villages, forests and hidden caves of the sacred land. Rumors began to spread. Furry little paws pounding ancestral drums. "...rise,rise...to freedom...the age of slavery will end...white ones have come down from the mountains...follow the enlightened one, the black woman...bananas for everyone..."
It is clouded by myth where she came from, but all followed her: markatas, atavi, vanara, bandar. Even the white ones. And the human oppressors were thrown out of the sacred land.
exerpt of IPC(international primates committee)official log.

nice background, all i can think off for mine is "wade in the water", not because it has anything to do with slavery but just the idea of intelegent lizards adapting from a desert landscape to a swamp makes it sorta fit if you take it literally.
So hatchlings, wade in the water, wade in the water hatchlings.

I just love the irony of the mention of Vandana Shiva on the same site that sells a game based on the glorified reliving of the Falklands War... hell, a site that glorifies war in general.
I believe that dom3 is an ironist game though, the way each nation is based on historical examples, and everything is sort of absurdly lewd.

we should all strive to be Ironists |

In the forest, the lumberjack chopped. In the forest, the trees bled.
In the forest, the land cried out.

In the forest, the minotaurs stampede.
In the forest, the maenads danced.
In the forest, the Pans enchanted.

In the forest, the land shall cry in anger
In the forest, the trees shall march to war
In the forest, the lumberjack will chop no more.

Okay, very funny. To whoever invited all those barbarians to a bunch of parties in Mictlan's forests and plains we just say, "Ha ha, yes, very funny practical joke." Mictlan knows how to appreciate a good practical joke. So we're just gonna kill all your barbarians, and next time you want to have a party, well, maybe it'll just be missing a little bit of that barbarian element!

In the forest, the stupid awake pretender slips and breaks its stupid neck. (Actually happened several turns ago). Efforts are on their way to revive said stupid. |

well i don't think you're the only one this happened to, sum1lost.
Shinuyama mourns the loss of their faceless prophet, Yukitoso (or something like that). She enjoyed shopping for wedding gowns and burial shrouds (she was an odd lass), and scaring the children with her... faceless face.

We sent her in to a situation having forgotten to script her for it. She died a rather meaningless death. Omni now waits for her haunting spirit to leave this world, so that he may prophetize another lucky young faceless lass.

On another note, there are fairly clear cut bounds between each starting pocket, up to the mountain province endcap that lies between each pocket pair. For Shinuyama's part, whoever reaches those endcaps first get them, but if anyone steps over into "our side of the line" in those pockets, they will get an early war. The Dai Kittens don't play, and are no force to be trifled with. They wield big swords, wear heavy armor, and kill even the cute kids.
