Raising dead with a mummy
Why cannot my mummy prophet with Priest level 5, do more than raise dead? Aka.. no horsemen.

Re: Hmmm
Because you're not MA/LA Ermor or Sauromatia.

Please give your threads meaningful titles. The other two should have shown that you quickly get thrice the replies when they are relevant to the content of the first posts.

Re: Raising dead with a mummy
Raising longdead horsemen is nation specific. Only MA & LA Ermor and Sauromatia have that ability, but it can be modded into a nation.

Re: Raising dead with a mummy
Well, I hear ya...
But I think my Rebirthed Mummy whose a prophet should be able to *either* preach or raise higher undead.
Not being able to preach is a bummer for a prophet.

There was a quote by KO not too long ago something to the effect that if someone comes back fromt he dead he really is a more imposing prophet - and hence his Holy ability increases.
But - KO is not reaaly right - if he can't preach, and he can't raise higher undead- his higher priestly dominion is almost worthless, and almost certainly worth less than the ability to preach.

Re: Raising dead with a mummy
I'd like to see some different reanimate options exclusive to certain unit types. Mummies could reanimate more mummies, for instance, which would make rebirthing a prophet a more interesting option.
I'm not bothered about the 'corpses can't preach' bit. A zombie prophet would just mumble on about brains all the time, anyway. And a mummy prophet would be pretty muffled with all those bandages over its mouth.

Re: Raising dead with a mummy
I'd like soulless to reanimate according to the type of units that were killed, not the reanimating nation.
If I'm C'tis and kill a bunch of monkeys and take no losses, it seems weird to reanimate a bunch of lizard corpses.
Not exactly a high priority or anything. I'd much rather see the "army fails to move" problem debugged.

Higher level prophets don't get more undead? Bummer. But you'll be crazy strong when Banishing.

Edit: added quote for clarity. It wasn't clear to whom I was replying.

That's odd. As Lanka, I noticed that raising Soulless with an H2 caster will invariably yield 16 assorted Soulless per turn, if they are available. However my H3 prophet consistently gets "some" more than 16, if there are more available.
I think they always get 5 Longdead though.
