Chris took most of the mercenaries early and got a headstart on expansion. Now we're all stuck trying to play catchup.

yeah I took the mage mercs. only problem I seem to have made my pretender with death. plus looking for blood slaves totally destroyed any sort of income I could of have

Well, if you guys want to concede, we can start again.
I've actually learned a bit too - I absolutely want A4E4 on my pretender. It is *way* to slow trying to bootstrap otherwise.

I'm not conceding, not by a long shot. I'm just getting started. :P
There's also the F4W4 version of the staff, which is probably easier to reach considering there are more boosters to get up there (Robe of the Sea+Ring of the Sea+Ring of Wizardry+Skull of Fire gets you to F4W4). Then all you need is A2 to get into Air Boosters.
