Default OOB067 Sudan: New info

As discussed in an unrelated thread, it looks like Sudan has been on a major shopping spree in the last years, and receiving massive Chinese support.

Based on several videos of a 2007 parade conveniently posted on YouTube, the official local weapons company's website (thanks to Marcello for finding this one out) and the usual arms transfer sources, here is a summary of the new (and old) equipment used by the Sudanese army. Some are quite unexpected.

ARMOR:

Al-Bashier MBT imported or license-produced Chinese Type-96 (baseline version, sometimes described as Type-85-IIM/III as in service in Pakistan)

Al-Zubair-2 MBT, licensed copy of Chinese Type-59D1 (short gun). Probably local upgrade of stored T-54/55/59, possibly assembled from Chinese components.

Al Zubair-1 MBT, looks similar to Iranian Safir-74, with ERA and 105mm gun not identical to that of Type-59D1

Digna tank, looks like basic T-55A

Khatim-2 IFV copy of Russian BMP-2, maybe not locally built, if so possibly through Iran.
Not seen in service in Sudan.

Khatim-1 APC, copy of Iranian Boragh, based on BMP-1, armed with ring-mounted DShK.
Not seen in service in Sudan.

Sharif-2 APC, Chinese WZ-551 with unidentified turret similar to that of ZSL-92, not same as on Sharif-1. (this one is already in the official OOB)

Sharif-1 APC, BTR-80 upgraded with unidentified turret similar to that of BTR-80A

BTR-80 with original turret, unknown origin (seen in parade, not reported as in service).

Amir ISV/APC, copy of Iranian Rakhsh with ring-mounted HMG with Chinese armor shield.
According to SIPRI, 3 Rakhsh delivered from Iran in 2006

Unidentified ISV/APC similar to Amir, larger, longer wheelbase, possible local conversion on 4*4 truckbed.

ARTILLERY & AIR DEFENCE:

Abu Fatima 122mm SPH, copy of Russian 2S1, possibly retroengineered from Belarussian surplus. (this one is already in the official OOB)

Khalifa 122mm howitzer, copy of Russian D-30, possibly through China or Iran.

Mahdi 122mm howitzer, copy of Soviet M-30 M1937, possibly through Chinese Type-54

Nijoumi 100mm field gun, copy of Soviet BS-3 M1944

Unidentified SPMRL with 8 tubes, 122mm apparently from Russian Grad, on unknown cab-over-engine 2-ton-class 4*4 truck (poss. Pinzgauer?)

Taka/Toka (?) 107mm towed MRL, copy of Chinese Type-63

Soba 73mm recoilless gun, copy of Russian SPG-9, possibly through Iran or Bulgaria. Ammunition produced locally.

Sinar AT rocket launcher, copy/derivate of RPG-7V, officially using PG-7V (85mm) and OG-7V rounds.

Nimir 60mm mortar, ammunition produced locally

Aboud 82mm mortar, ammunition produced locally

Ahmd 120mm mortar, no info available

Twin 37mm AA gun, probably Chinese Type-65 or 74

Twin 57mm AA gun, no designation known, could be imported from North Korea, or based on Soviet/Chinese S-60 and locally modified.

SA-7 Strela-2, according to SIPRI these were delivered by the USSR in the 80s.

SMALL ARMS:

Khawad HMG/AAMG, copy of Chinese QJG-89 aka Type-85, may fill niche for MANPADS.
Also as AAMG on Chinese tanks.

Mokhtar GPMG, copy of Russian PKMS (through Chinese Type-80?), possibly converted to 7.62*51mm.
Not seen in service in Sudan

Karar GPMG, copy of German MG-3 (presumably through Iran), apparently used mainly as LMG.
Not seen in service in Sudan

Dinar assault rifle, copy of German G3 (presumably through Iran), could be main infantry weapon in Sudan

Terab assault rifle, derivate of US AR-15 (apparently through Iranian S-5.56 or Chinese QB though in 7.62*51 calibre)
Not seen in service in Sudan

Maz assault rifle (classified as SMG), copy of some AK-47 version, details unclear. In service in para/SOF units, probably reserve and militia as well

Tihraga SMG, copy of German MP5A3 (presumably through Iran), collapsible-stock version for SOF/rangers

Comments and corrections are welcome, if there is enough clear info I will post the necessary update in error report form.

You don't need to rush it Tangui. Take your time. I'm not tearing apart any more OOB's for this next patch.

Good on you Don, because this one is going to be a mess on its own right, with no sources to speak of.
I may start modding it this time around, but I don't guarantee that the result will have any relation with reality (as usual).
