				 Graphics help
Okay, I'm doing a mod. Or two, if the first one works out okay. Anyway, my computer sucks in terms of graphics apps, I need to edit .tga files, and MS Paint won't touch them. Does anyone know a free, easy to use program where I can make very simple pixel-by-pixel changes to a picture? |

GIMP seems to be the program of choice. It opens tga's easily enough and there are some nifty tutorials online to get you started. Hope this helps |

Yep, GIMP. It's free (and free in the quality open source way, rather than the too-rubbish-to-sell way). |

				 Re: Graphics help
While I'd third the recommendation of the GIMP, another program I've found suitable for sprite editing is "Ultimate Paint" , which has a freeware edition and is very comfortable to use at the small image sizes Dominions 3 units use.

				 Re: Graphics help
Many thanks, guys. Can I ask some other stuff:
Does armour automatically adjust APs and mapmove?
How is age calculated, as the mod docs seem to suggest it works it out automatically?

Armour automatically adjusts APs, but not mapmove.
Not sure about age. Just try setting #startage and #maxage and see what you get. I seem to remember what you get is something like 10% more than what you actually set it to, or something similarly bizarre.

Great. I might be bugging you with many more questions as they come up as it's my first time, so please bear with me! |

I seem to remember that Dom3 looks at startage, then puts in a random factor, and then puts on a bit depending on magic paths. Does anyone know for sure? |

I think magic paths affect maxage actually. Fire reduces it, nature increases it. Death doesn't change it, but reduces the incidence of old age afflictions. |
