Yet another LA Rlyeh prophet bug
When one of your LA Rlyeh's accesory prophets dies, and, uhm, for lack of a better word, "rots" ("the remnants of the prophet have left this world yadda yadda"), you get the chance to prophetize a new unit, or reprophetize one of your prophets.
Right now I have a starspawn at H4, and as soon as I find some other expendable mad prophet to kill, it will be H5 (tremble, Ermor)

Cool. It didn't used to be like that. I wonder if the same deal now applies if a prophet that you Charmed away from another nation dies.

Perhaps that was your "real" prophet.

No it wasn't. I prophetized a Starspawn in my second turn, and then one of my accesory prophets died, and got a chance to reprophetize my prophet. And I did (He's holy 4 atm. And perfectly sane, for the record).
 Perhaps it only works once.

Or perhaps it doesnt work unless no commander names itself prophet in the interim.

Re: Yet another LA Rlyeh prophet bug
Its not that simple. In my case I've 17 prophets, named both before and after the real prophets death. I have in fact tried to prophetize him again. Every turn, in fact. No luck.
But in my case I know for a fact that a prophet was named (by insanity) the same turn that the dead prophets power left.

 | Had a similar thing with LA Arco. Looks like they are working on it. -ssj

Yes, confirmed a bug but no cause found as of yet. Johan reports they are looking into it and might be able to include a fix in an upcoming patch.
