				 Airstrike hits OB Units
 Good day,
Encountered a weird glitch, launched a 4 ship airstrike (SU 25's)during a PBEM Campaign game. The strike appears to have attacked my opponents equipment that was OFF BORD. I've run the turn from my side and the strike went off and killed many units. Checking the aircraft I found NO aircraft used any ordinance and the lead SU25 recorded 40 plus kills.............I'm PMing the file and password........any comments.

Interesting - I will have a look at that.
Is this turn post or pre the strike?.

(Post the strike will probably be of no use for debugging what went wrong)

 Cheers

Here is the file of the turn before. At the end of which the attack took place. If it matters, the few units near the end of the map were moved off map before I hit the end turn.

I will pm you the password.

EDIT
Well, apparently I can't send you a PM.

If it was the case that these things were just moved off map by you then that may well be the problem. It depends on when exactly the game flags them as removed, but all off-map units (for both sides!) live at [-1,-1].

I didn't remove 40 units off map at one turn. About 4-6 if I remember correctly.
By that last thing, do you mean that the plane did not actually destroy our units and we should continue our campaign as is?

 | But there may well be 40 off-map passengers (both sides) plus off map arty (ditto) all coexisting at [-1,-1] if the units going of the map were placed at [-1-1] but did not have off-map the tag set as yet.

I will know more about that if I debug this this weekend, but it may have to wait for whenever I have the time.

Your game is likely completely hosed by the event. I would suggest you try restarting at the turn 1 point if you still have those saves?.

				 Re: Airstrike hits OB Units
ok, thank you. Is it too early to ask for suggestions to avoid having this happening again?
Anyway, good luck whenever you find the time to look at it and have a nice weekend.

I will contact PanzerBob about starting a new one.

It was an interesting campaign too, he was starting getting the upper hand in the campaign. But I guess he can always do that in our next one lol.

BTW, something that I have noticed that might provide some help?
I noticed that after a few battles in our campaign, if using the + - keys to go through each of my units, I would also go through units that were no longer on the map, be it destroyed from a previous battle in the campaign, or whatever. Not only that, but they would be able to target what probably were enemy's off map units too. I never tried to fire just in case, but it might give you an extra help.

I said nothing about the campaign being trashed, just restart the current battle from the appropriate save point.
(If you don't save them as individual zip files on your PC before emailing, then examine your email messages and extract it from there?)
