I don't think they actually used the mercs to expand, though I could be wrong. I think they were spotted just after they were hired.

On a related note, nice job Amonchakad on finding the proper counter to a Runeguard rush! |

Do what? I only gathered my few scattered troops into a single army and threw them on my capital; I fear that any semblance of strategy was purely coincidental  |

Wops! Apologies for staling the last turn, the last few days were really busy for me.
