Default Great Patch!

In my first Quick Battle against the computer one of my LAVs was immobilised by a boobytrap/IED. Now I can't just go charging down streets anymore. Excellent.

Several nagging matters (e.g. availability dates) in the OOBs have finally been fixed.

Great job guys.

I'd also like to add my thanks for the patch, and wade straight in with some annoying questions! I know that I'd probaly answer these questions with some game time, but I'm too impatient, dammit.

In the British oob, there is a new weapon, the LASM. This is a Light Anti Structure Missle, right? Will that interact particularly with the new collapsing building feature, or is it a more general anti infantry weapon?

And there is also a new quad bike in the Ordanance section, and I was wondering how big a warhead it would replenish? Will it replenish an ATGM like a Javelin, or just small arms?

Thanks for your time!

1/ it's a weapon class 2 weapon therefore it will act like any other weapons class 2 weapon with that WH size and HE Penetration against a building

2/ You can reload javelins units from them

Well from a quick ferret around things have been well & truely given a big shake.

Many recon vehicles & taxis now carry ammo loads that make them usable, great can now use a whole load of vehicles I used to avoid or end up micromanaging because of ammo issues.

Have to revisit selecting roughly balanced opponents due to tank ammo changes.
Ukraine has stepped up & become capable of taking on the big boys head to head.
Main Players look a bit more capable of destroying each other in the late 80s 90 period but other countries with Russian armour have hit stalemate.
Looks like most T-72 varients cant kill each other anymore, nothing like trusting your allies.

A nation like East Germany had ammo in past versions of the game they simply did not posses in reality and there were many others like that but in the case of EG they disappeared from the scene whereas the others stayed around but the dates they get ammo has been pushed back and not all ammo the Russians have available is available to others. It the past I think the assumption was if it was produced , it was for sale but that simply was not the case. This *may* be why on a quick glance it may seem like "most T-72 variants can't kill each other anymore". That perception may change once people start actually PLAYING the game instead of crusing through the OOB's with MOBHack but a Russian T-72A1 in 1986 is carrying more potent ammo than a EG T-72M on the same date but that DOES NOT mean the EG T-72's are helpless sitting ducks and you'll change the " can't kill each other anymore " assessment PDQ

Yes, lot's of APC / IFV's had increases in ammo load on par with the formulas used for the Russian vehicles in the previous patch based on hard data we found giving ammo loads carried

Was not cruising as such went for a Yugo Croatia setup as sides were very even so was a good pairing for a PBEM vs someone new. So tried a couple of diffrent opponents & noticed majority had as you say worse ammo.
Went with seeing if the Ukraine could stop Russia reforming the USSR instead just finnishing up loading live rounds.
Just means battles where tanks were evenly matched previously it might not be the case now & probably the reverse in other cases.

I've another little question I'd like you to clear up. Can engineers disarm IEDs and booby-traps?

I'm assuming that they can't both due to the game mechanics of how the IEDs work and that such an lengthy operation is outside of what the game intends to simulate, but I thought I'd double-check.

They can but move adj to very slowly as can set off, also they can bodge the disarming setting it off. Best bet leave it alone unless you really need to get rid of it. Also if it can be activated remotly you had better make sure nobody can see you trying to disarm it.
