Default V8.0: range of .30 cal AAMG (various OOBs)

Apparently with the update to 8.0 the range of .30 cal AAMG has gone up from 24 to 30 in several OOBs, while it has remained at 24 in most.

* OOBs with range 30
- France OOB06 (weapon 139)
- Soviet Union OOB11 (weapon 137)
- USA OOB12 (weapon 139)
- USMC OOB13 (weapon 139)

* OOBs with range 24
- Poland OOB02 (weapon 139)
- Japan OOB05 (weapon 139)
- Great Britain OOB07 (weapon 139)
- Polish LWP OOB09 (weapon 139)
- Chinese Communists OOB14 (weapon 139)
- ANZAC OOB15 (weapon 139)
- India OOB18 (weapon 139)
- Yugoslavia OOB20 (weapon 117)
- Nationalist China OOB21 (weapon 139)
- Belgium OOB27 (weapon 139)
- Netherlands OOB28 (weapon 139)
- Canada OOB30 (weapon 139)
- Greece OOB31 (weapon 139)
- Spain OOB33 (weapon 139)
- Italy OOB34 (weapon 139)
- Czechoslovakia OOB37 (weapon 139)
- Romania OOB39 (weapon 130)
- Green OOB40 (weapon 130)
- Thailand OOB41 (weapon 139)
- Blue OOB42 (weapon 139)

And in case somebody is wondering why this weapon appears in so many OOBs, it was mounted on a lot of US built vehicles (like M3 and M5 Stuart light tanks), which ended up being provided to a lot of different Allied nations through lend-lease, and getting captured in numbers by some of the Axis nations.

This was SUPPOSED to be a reply not an "Edit" but that's what we got

Apparently you hadn't bothered to look at this until this release. The very first example you gave has been 30 since V6........ why this discrepancy ?... IDK but your assumption that it's something new introduced in the last update is not valid

I must admit that I haven't really been playing with late war French, so I may not have spotted the discrepancy there in the past.

However, in the case of US it seems to me that the range got changed with introduction of v8.

All should be standardised at 24 in the forthcoming patch.

I guess my memory must have been playing tricks on me, then... and standardising it to 24 across the board makes sense to me.

That said, I realised that the unit 257 (30 Cal AAMG) actually shows a nice picture of two GIs with pre-war helmets manning a water-cooled (rather than usual air-cooled) version of .30 cal AAMG on some sort of pedestal mount.

I have no idea how common such water-cooled AAMGs were, but I guess a real purist (not me!) might suggest including both air-cooled (range 24) and water-cooled (range 30?) versions .30 cal AAMG in the US OOB. I don't think that would bring much added value in practice.
