Is this also an issue with MBT? (or was it included/different version of Mobhack/not needed)

No. It was just a slight code change in WW2 to correct a "double booking" of a series of numbers assigning Icon slots.

Noone puts any blame on you - thank you for your efforts I only feel pity for your wasted time. I didn't start it, though I noticed the problem in Mobhack as well. I wanted to report it earlier, but there were correct icons in the game...

Well, thanks but I'm the one responsible for getting the patches assembled correctly so this is on me.

It's solved now and I'm glad it was brought to light I just wish it had been more clear at the start. Though even then my first check would be with the MOBHack I use which is the correct one so it would have looked OK to me but with enough people saying " no..we see a turret in MOBHack" the light would have come on eventually

The up-to-date MOBHack as been posted and I have put it into my 2021 working files in it's own folder -named- " ADD TO NEXT PATCH SURE"
