Now another change in polish Navy helicopters fleet
Poland in November 2025 retried their
SH-2G Super Seaspirite. They were in usage more than 20 years on two ex-usn frigates used by Poland. So there is no info which helicopters will replace them but interesting is that polish helicopters since 2007/2008 similar to variant used by New Zeeland has fixed forward MG from PK family so they were not only used to antisubmarine missions.
This helicopter in last variant
SH-2G were used by
USN -> 1993 to may 2001
Australia SH-2G(A) -> October 2003 to march 2008 send back to Kaman factory
Egypt SH-2G(E) -> 1998 still in usage
New Zeeland SH-2G(NZ) -> 2001 to still in usage in 2005 FN MAG-58M foward firing MG
Peru SH-2G(NZ) -> since 2014 five New Zeeland variant helicopters
Poland SH-2G(P) -> 2002 until now retried since 2007 foward firing MG from polish PK like in New Zeeland variant
There was also previous variant
Kaman SH-2 Seasprite used during could-war.
USN used this helicopter in vietnam-war since 1962 in single engine variant
UH-2 since 1970 we have two engine variant SH-2 all helicopters were created by rebuilding of single engine variant to new modern machines. And they were in usage until 1994 when last variant SH-2F was retried.
New Zeeland also used shortly this older variant helicopters as i nterim
SH-2F before delivery of
SH-2G
