Need Help - Game won't load

Hi.

We're playing a six player PBEM game of SEIV Gold 1.60. Everything runs fine, just one player is unable to load the game file. The filename comes up, but when he tries to load it, he is not taken to the race selection screen but the following message appears: "There was an error opening file brawl.gam"

This only happened on his computer at work, a university based network pc running windows nt. At home the game loads just fine. Since he planned to do most turns at work (those lucky postgraduate students on their sponsored research projects... I would be entirely grateful if anyone has any idea what's wrong.
