Dusting it out can't hurt either.

I like to find an outside spot with a light breeze so I can stand upwind and avoid the towering plume of dust kicked up when the case is opened.

Check some of the chips and connectors to be sure they're still seated properly, too.

PS:
Hold the metal case and ground yourself too.
