You have to save with newlines in the Unix format, not Windows format. I do not know how to do this with Windows software, but I use jEdit as my text editor (
www.jedit.org - it is free and open-source, but runs in java) and that lets you specify textfile encoding. So, either download a text editor that lets you specify the encoding, or send me the .map file and I will save it in Unix format and send it back to you.
BTW, I highly recommend jEdit, it is an excellent piece of software. Worth installing java, if your computer did not have it preinstalled. Especially if you program (in any language).
