Wow, I thought that it's surprising that it would take so long to approach the speed of light accelerating at 1 g, so I tried the math and you're right! I guess light is really really fast!

299792458 m/s
/9.81 = 30559884 sec
/60 = 509331 min
/60 = 8488 hours
