I'm a gamer too, and I find that reasonably high end LCD works well enough, even for graphics intensive stuff like Morrowind / Oblivion and things like that. Might be different if I wanted to play twitch-type games like FPS's, but I don't.

And if I do - I have a ... 7 year old Nokia that is one of those high-quality CRTs that SC mentioned. Sadly, it's getting old and starting to fade. Hmm. 22" Philips on Newegg for $439 might be a nice upgrade. ( SC is right - not many CRTs listed there anymore at all, and hardly any 19+ inch ones. )
