A strategy to counter "glamour"?

Here's how to defeat Helheim, every time, no matter what race you are playing:

1) On turn two, click "statistics", score graphs/pretenders, and determine if Helheim is one of your opponents.

2) If Helheim is an opponent, click "options", "quit without saving", and start a new game.

Helheim is outrageously unbalanced -- hordes of Huskarls will chew up and spit out almost anything. By the time you have effective magic to counter him he'll already own half the board. Sure, if you want a challenge you can fight him off at that point, but generally it's better just to stay away from any world he happens to inhabit.
