Shift Commands

Is there any way to mod shift commands? Specifically, I was wondering if there was a way to make Shift-z apply to all gems in inventory instead of just blood slaves. I don't clam spam or anything like that, but the lack of this sort of command is sort of a deterrent to me. If someone has already done this then please post it. Thanks.
