They shouldn't be bypassing them unless you are clicking on a space (to move to) that is beyond the obstacle hex. For D/T, iirc, vehicles cannot enter the hex.

I was doing some testing and found in my scenario the following hexes cleared when the below vehicles were parked in front of an pointing at the hex;

M60 Mine Plough (Minclearing Tank)
MINES - 2 Turns
D/T - 3 Turns
WIRE - 3 Turns
M278 CEV (Engineer Tank)
MINES - 2 Turns
D/T - 2 Turns
WIRE - 3 Turns
This was without any enemy fire.
