Is the ancient race of C'tis doomed? 98 months have passed since the nations of ComfortZone began exploring the land. Foolishly, we ignored the threat of Man to our east, the sneaky devils! Instead, we were concerned about the unbridled expansion of giants far away in the north.
Our neighbors, the spider-folk, rapidly perished under the attacks of Mictlan and Man. Trusting that Man would recognize Mictlan as the greater threat, C'tis attempted to evict Mictlan from our borders. We sent the dead gods to do the deed, from the depths of Tartarus. But Mictlan was wise in the ways of battle, and countered with mighty demons wielding huge flaming swords. And worse, Man took the opportunity to launch a sneak attack against our weak defenses. Noble Mictlan granted us peace so we would have the opportunity to avenge ourselves against evil Man, and we did throw Man out of our swamps, and slay Man's god, and we were avenged.
But Mictlan still loomed large on our borders, and their holdings were vast, and C'tis saw that they had grown stronger still. Rather than live in a pathetic small swamp in ignominy, we took to the field against Mictlan's forces once more. And we were soundly crushed. And we have been being crushed for months and months, and more months, pretty much an eternity of months. What lands have not been pillaged by Mictlan have been ravaged by our own mad gods.
We live only because Mictlan is distracted from us by the giants, who still own the northlands, and for that we owe the giants a debt.

Anyway, it's possible I may not be able to play any turns for a month or so. C'tis has a bunch of Golems to teleport around, some tartarians, and some assorted mages, and a few gems lying about. Unrest is rather high all over the place. Oh, and I accidentally cast Forest Dome on my cap twice. Sorry about that, Mictlan!
Please PM me (or duncanshriek, the current admin) if you'd like to have some end-game fun without the micromanagement. (Just 16 provinces! And only 8 with unrest under 100!)
Mictlan is an excellent player and you'll definitely learn some new tricks fighting against him.
