Just wanted to post a simple reminder here and that is that the year extension on
Security Updates for Win 10 is ending on
1 Oct. 2025.
Win 10 Program updates ended last year not to be confused with the
Outlook/Edge updates that are of course ongoing.
Even though I run very robust Anti-virus software programs I'm not willing to allow a potential breach on my PC because of the support ending.
So just received last week $700.00 worth of hardware (AMD) to include...
1.
GIGABYTE B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI AM5 LGA 1718 AMD B650 M-ATX, DDR5, PCIe 4.0 M.2, PCIe 4.0, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5GbE LAN (Like them but also has a 5 year warranty.)
2.
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X - Zen 4 6-Core 4.7 GHz - Socket AM5 - 105W Desktop Processor (100-100000593WOF)
3.
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000) Desktop Memory Model CMH32GX5M2E6000C36
4.
MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12G OC
5.
Corsair K70 RGB TKL CHAMPION SERIES Optical-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - OPX RGB Switches, PBT Double-Shot Keycaps, Detachable USB-C Cable - Black (This came free I believe with my GPU purchase.)
Came out ahead versus buying a whole new PC as I already have a fairly new SSD, Gold PCU and HAF ATX case-love it because it "
Breaths" so well.
Going to get it to "
Geek Squad" hopefully in the next 2 weeks or so as we're waiting on a final resolution on a current matter first.
I might blow the "
Dam thing up" if I attempt to do it. Firm believer in the fact "
The Big Boss" put people on this rock to do that kind've thing.
Will update on how things work out after the install.
Regards,
Pat
