OT: A True Loss

Man talk about a bad week in Trek history. First my site is killed, then I read this about www.section31.com Here is the story. http://www.section31.com/stories/aug...082802_a.shtml

Section31.com's current dedicated server contract is due to end within a matter of weeks, or possibly less. Liquid Web, our hosting service, has yet to respond to my inquiry regarding the state of this domain's contract so a definite date is not known for certain at the time of this story. Due to the lack of sufficient revenue through donations and advertising I am not going to re-new services with Liquid Web or seek out new hosting options for this website. The advertising you have seen, along with requests to support the domain by donating through Paypal or through special offers from companies, was all meant to raise enough money to keep the site going. Unfortunately we did not receive the support needed. This decision is not being made solely based on a financial basis.

This is another perfect reason why we need to support PBW and its efforts to stay alive. If Section 31 can go under because of lack of support, then PBW could to just as easily.

Additionally, I found out Last night that the Computer store where I buy all my parts is closing its doors after eleven years. My P2 400 bought the farm today with two Popping sounds and a puff of blue smoke. That leaves me with just my AMD 1400, and it is less than reliable.

This has been a very bad week starting with Last Thursday. It could have been worse, but God does have a heart. (No offense intended.)

If you can, help support PBW, I'd hate to see them go down.
