I don't see wood -- I see rusted and worn metal. But you could try to mix up the texture a bit.

Don't like the shape. Too compact and bulbous, I like ships more graceful.

But hey, a very cool job. I'm trying to make my first shipset, boy, is that ever dull. I got an escort hull and flags done and that's it. Boring.
